Katarina Reka is a Pacific Northwest artist who works primarily in oil painting with elements of collage. Oil paint is Katarina’s most used medium, but her knowledge of drawing, photography and woodworking often creep into her pieces. Her work draws from expressionist, maximalist and abstract influence with a frequent inclusion of Pacific Northwest imagery. Katarina combines landscape and process art to capture the dramatic and diverse region.
Katarina received her BA in Art and Anthropology from Central Washington University and her Master's in Teaching from the University of Washington. She has shown in galleries along the West Coast, primarily in the Seattle area.
